The Nebuchadnezz head to the Cardassian boarder, I wonder just what Captain Nadrie has in mind.
But to tell the truth, I still have my hand fulls with my two patients. Tiva and Juli.
Both women show great mood swings. At this time I am sure that they are under the drug that was given to them before. But since both women are pregnant, I feel that this drug has found a new home within embryonic stem cells. I believe that this drug was masked because the stem cells have started to form the fetus. Since mother and child shared the same blood I feel that the drug will come back into the mother system. At this time the mother will be reintrocducedto the drug and then the moods swings will start again. The drug will metabolize in 24 hour.
My next step is to start testing on the unborn child and see what the drug is doing to it.

I now blieve that Dr. Bertruger waslooking for an child who would be strong, could rapid heal, and probably have the best sucess rate for genetic manipulation...A Super Species

I have been promoted to a full lieurentant. I think both my parants and my uncle would be very pround of me.

We have been at Deep Space 9 for alittle over a week and I am making little head way on the cure for both Tiva and Juli. I have been told by other that Tiva doesn't wish to see me at. She feel i maybe with those doctors who make her this way. Her mood swings come almost everyday. I feel if I can't find a way to help she will be lost to us.
As for Juli, she a very different case. She isn't back to duties but she keep to herself in her quarters. I find that the drug has taken a different path with her. I have her come see me just about every day and I find that she has a health grown child within her. Maybe to health.
The theory on the ship is this: Doctor Bartruger and the late Captain Illillem were working on a experimental super drug. One that work heal a person quickly and partially shows the aging process. Bit it metabolize quickly in a humanoid's blood stream and is total ineffective. They were about to give up on the drug went they can up with a way to keep the working. That is infesting the victom with "Borg" nanoprobles. The nano aloow the drug to parpetually recycles within the body and break down genetic sequences for easy manipulation.
My testing so far has come up with very little so far.

Personal log.

Before we left Deep Space 9, I went to their sickbay to get my hands on medical recorders on Captain Nadire. After alittle talking I got what I needed.
I have gotten the full medical records on our Captain. Since I have gotten here... everytime I went to look up medical history on the Captain. There wasn't anything older the a few years. It was like the Captain was true here all that time.
I have now have found out went the Captain was assign as a young officer on the Technica, she was half assimilated by the borg. The medical staff was unable to remove the nanoprobes or the implant on her hand.
Another thing I found out. The Captain was eight months pregnant went she took command of the Nebuchadnezzer. The father is Captain Tre'Maar.

It's 0800 and i am starting my shift in sickbay. I have a two crew member waiting for me.
Both crew men have 2nd degree plasma burns on these legs and arms. I nused the dermal regenerator on the burns and gave both 3 cc of kelaline and sent them on their way.
I am waiting for the return of Steph and baby return. Steph and Commander Jaran who are on leave should be back before long.

I have started to go through all the medical recorders for the crew. It looks like the annual physical are coming up. I hope I a can start with the Captain.

Well I see I have a few more crew members coming in...

Part 1 of " Captain Dearest"

Opening his eyes slowly...Max can't believe that he has once more fallen asleep in his office. He was having a great dream of him and Steph alone on a moon lite beach...just the two of them...alone...something that hasn't happen much since they been together. Max still wonder how they had time to have a child too. As a smile comes to his face, he lean back in his chair he speak out....

Computer...light on...but slowly and time...please

Acknowledge Doctor Gunn..it is 0310 Sir.

As the lighs come up slowly Max seem what he think is a figure in the shadow of one of the corner. Max calls out...

Is there someone there?

The soft voice of a women comes from the dark corner...

So you realy wish to save me...Doctor Gunn?

Max know that voice coming from the shadows....

Captain...Captain Nadrie...Is that you?

Yes Doctor...it is me..I have come to speak with you.

With that out of the shadows come the Captain...but not the one Max was thinking of...It was the loathsome figure of the Borg Nadrie. Max goes to tap his commbadge...but the badge is missing. With that Max gets up and start for the door.

Max....are you looking for this?

The Borg holds up the badge and then drops it and step on it crushing it..
She then move in front of him and grabe him by the arm...

And where do you think you are going...I have place a force field around your office and there will be no one looking for you for hours...remember you are the night shift this nite.

The Borg forces Max back to his chair and makes him sit. Max first try to fight her but as she used more force on him... Max just goes along with her.

Very good Doctor...or should I call you Max?

Part 2 of "Captain Dearest"

Max is sitting in the chair, as the Borg Nadire grabe the chair and turn both him and it around so now that he is facing her. At this point she grabe both his arms with her so he doesn't move or try to get up.

So Doctor....tell me why do you wish to save me or her?

You mean Captain Nadire...

Yes her....I don't believe you know what you are getting into my good Doctor. I believe that you see her...as the good Captain...and me as her evil twin. That you wish to get rid of me and my kind...isn't that true?

Noooo...that isn't true...I want to save you...if you are truly are the real Captain. I want to bring you back.

She now move so she is face to face with Max. As heated words come from her.

Why would I want to come back? What is there here for me?

Max could feel her warm breath as she speak every word.

Lisiten Doctor...you have started down a road that you shouldn't..but foolish as it maybe..you have started your trip.
You have seem some things and hear other about what happen to Captain Nadire. The last time we met you try saving me and you fail. And after that you could have lost your position as CMO. There are things that are far beyond you in the matter of Captain Nadire. You will never find any open doors for you in Starfleet about her....none. You are an outsider and those in power don't let outsider in...not at any cost.
Your trip is taking you to a fork in the road...but isn't the one you think...for both roads are the roads lest travel on... one will be the one that will show you the women you think is your Captain...your medical recorders from DS 9 will help with that. The other is my road...and you are part of that road all ready. Doctor...do you think that you are brave enought to travel the rest of your trip? You do know that you could be destory at any time? Is losing every thing worth chasing the Great White Whale....like another starfleet captain did once before?
Remember that either of these roads will have many twists and turn. They will cross each other many time..but you will never know went. Never truth anyone. That mean me too..

With that the Borg Nadire lets go his arms and runs one hand alone his neck.
She has move behind him and place her hands on his shoulders keep him still as he sit.
Borg Nadire now lean down so her face is right next to his right ear as she starts whiskering to Max...

With that she grabes a hand full of his hair in right hand pulling his head back. Bring her left hand up. Her left hand up the long claws come from the back of her hand..the two injection tubules that protrude from her hand enter into the neck of Max..She once more leans down..

Max..isn't this what you alway really wanted...to join us?

Max closes his eyes and all goes black...

Doctor Gunn...Doctor Gunn??? Is everthing all rigth???

One of the nurses comes running into his office after hearing Max start to screem. Max open his eyes and looks about and see that he is once more in his office..but no Borg...just one of the day time nurse standing by him. Max face is all sweaty and his heart rate is off the charts.

Yes...Helen...everything is all right..I must have fallen asleep and had a nigthmare.

the nurse see how he looks and then the hypo.

Sir..it's time you head to your quarters and get some sleep and stop used that to keep up.

The nurse points to the hypo.

Max agreed with the nurse and gets up from his desk..

Your right Helen...time for me to get some rest...but first I need to stop at the lab.

After a blood test....Max find no nano in his blood stream....if it was a dream or nightmare..it was all to real for him..Max heads off to his quartes.

It's been a few days now, but that dream or maybe a better name is nightmare of the Borg Captain being in my office is way to real for me. I have tested myself every day since the dream happen. I still convince that the attack took place, but I can't find a single thing wrong with me.
I am still trying to figure out what the Borg mean by the fork in the road. Since Steph isn't back..I find myself alone on this matter. I know the XO is total behind the Captain on this matter. For he was the one who save the borg captain last time..not me.

I have gotten hold of some of the so called close medical records on Captain Nadire. I thought I would find answers to my questions, but I only found more questions and no answers. And do I go and ask the Captain these questions that are starting to haunt me?
And was the Borg Caption right?...am I chaseing that Great White Whale....and will I destroy myself in the process of finding the truth.

I sometime think that I wish I was never assign to the Nebuchadnezzer...and never met her Captain and it's crew. But if I never can here I would have never met my beloved Steph and I wouldn't have had the great joy in my life...our daugther....So maybe the old earth saiding.."Behind every stormily cloud is all ways a silver lining".

And once I get to the great fork in the road...I am sure I will take one..well it be the right one..only time will tell.

After a short breakfast...Max heads off to sickbay to see what the this day will bring. Juli has been in and out to see him and Max feels she is coming along pretty good. Tiva...is a different story. He believe that her condition is getting worst.
As he walks down the corrider and turns the corner, Max see 11 crew members standing just outside of sickbay.

Well people...I see the word got out..it's physical day. You five are first and you other six please come back at 1200 hours. I should be done with these people

Max points out the five he wants to see first. Then sent off the other six. Once the five are in sickbay...he takes the first crewmember into his office.

Doc Gunn is sitting in his officer going over the crew physical recorders and starts to schedule those how needed their years physical.

As he going throught them, his thought go to Steph and how he missed her today. But then the Captain's recorder comes up...

Computer....may sure that the Captain is the first to have a full yearly physical.

Aye Doctor Gunn...

He begin to think that he may have become the most hated man on the ship since the death of Miero.

Gunn now figure that Captain has surrounded herself with "layer".....Good loyal friends. There is the XO to start off with...Commander Cooper....a great warrior and a person who would give his life for the Captain., Next is strange return of Doctor Karo...The Captain long time friend and ex chief medical officer of the ship. He just happen to return went Gunn was about to find the total truth about the Captain and her family. Then Saito return...another one of the Captain true blue friend.

As for Gunn...his circule of friends is droping quickly...He alway thought he could count of Boon...the wife of Commander Cooper, but now he not sure. As it stand right now Gunn isn't sure about anything or anyone. And after the cold blooded murder of the clone of Miero...he know all senior staff have turns on him. For Gunn believe that murder of any living creature is still murder...you can dress it up and believe it the devil himself...and we here in the Federation live by rules..and even it was the Devil himself...he would get a trail!!!!!!

Dr. Gunn bring up a files from his personal recorders...it is on the Augment...He is hopping this is where he will find what he is looking for...a clue in the making of the Captain and her family. He looks up the section on "Selective Breeding" and find her family name in the files that were part of the testing in the late 1980's

As he is about to dig deeper, he catches something out of the outter corner eye. It was like a flash of light....then it happen again. Doc first think it may have to do with the upgrade that are going on within the ship. He turns back to his reading...but then again he see the flash..this time it is in sickbay itself...The the soft call of his name...and it isn't Steph.

Max gets up from his chair and walks into sickbay...

Hello?? Anyone here?

Max now starts to walks about...a quick walk thur of sickbay finds nothing..starting back to his office...He runns right into a borg...not just any borg, but the borg who is the Captain. With that the borg speak to him.

Have you stop her? Have you stop the Captain??

d**n it!!!!!!! What do you mean stop her?

This isn't happen again...no not here....Not with the Captain on this away mission. Max close his eyes and shake his head for a few second. But went he open them she is still here.

You want me to stop her. That's going to be a little problem...She and few of crew members are off to Risa. And we are heading back to the closes starbase.

As Max looks at what he thing is another dream....he see that maybe this is more then a dream...alot more then a dream. Moving closer he places his hand on the Borg's chest and it pass right throw.

Your a holoimage....where are you coming from?

Doctor...I am Captain Nadire...and yes i am a holoimage from the future...You remember went Commander sent me back. I have been coming to you for many months now. I need your help...

With that the two start talking about what he is needed to do. Not sure how much time has pass...Max open his eyes and he once more is alone....And all he can remember is that he needs to stop the Captain....But now? That is the question.

Max hasn't been able to sleep these day...and this day wasn't any different. He gets out of bed slowly and not to wake Steph as he takes a showner and puts on him uniform...then heads off to sickbay.

"Lights" Max said as he walks into sickbay...heading right to his office, he sit down at his console and start to work. He bring up the medical recorder on Captain Nadire(the one in the brig) and starts going over the DNA scan...he then try to asscess Starfleet Command or Medical with no luck. Try once more and once more he can't get in. He starts to think that maybe someone or somethings is starting to block his way...Is it Meiro, Starfleet, maybe some of the Captain friends...or maybe the Borg themselve. Gunn starts to think he maybe on his own now...he is sure he isn't going to get any help from the crew...for they are loyal to the Captain...and maybe he should be too! but he has gone way to deep into this to just end it all because he has runs into roadblocks now. He figure it time now to go see the captain and retest her once more...

Two hours has passed and he has pick apart all the reports, records and files he has...he has found many new bites of new information...but he just can't make out the new picture that is now right in front of him. he does find a bit of information that he passed over several time and now stick out to him...Went the Cardaasian clone was on board he asscess the medical recorder off all the menber of the crew. But it show he didn't try to sent any sub space message out. why would he want that information...since he was here for the Captain and the captain alone.

Max gets up to get a cup of coffee from the replicator..as he goes to pick up the cup....he hears a low voice call him over and over again in his head. "Stop it...Danm you!!!". The voice stop. Max know the person behind the voice..it her..it the Borg...but how has she gotten into his mind?
Max walks back with his cooffee and for the next few hours he keep working on his files.Max starts to wonder how long will it been before Commander Cooper figure out that he has has only given his half that information he has collected.

It now 0800 hours and Steph is walking into sickbay. Max gets up and walks out of his office to met her. He kisses her cheek and give her a hug. "Sorry I left...couldn't sleep...thought I get a early jump on my work".
Steph could tell something was wrong, but can't put her finger on it. She return his kiss and the grabs her PADD and starts her rounds in the ward..Today is the day OPS Officer Yates Steph's best friend will be able to get back to duty and she wants to talk to her about he upcoming wedding with Max.

I have sent off all medical recorders of the crew of USS Nebuchadnezzar to Star Fleet Medical and Star Fleet Command. Since the decommissioning of the ship, the crew is now in limbo and on leave on Earth. We wait to hear what is to become of us. I haven’t heard or see the Captain after Star Fleet Command place security personnel onboard the ship. We have been given several hours to pack our things and go on leave. Beside same engineering and security personal, I am one of the few left onboard. I am still finishing up the last of the unofficial medical report on Captain Nadire. Over the past few years I have treaded the Captain for many things. And if the truth be known the Captain and I would both be out of Star Fleet. Captain Nadire is not mentally or physicality able to command at this time and has not been for some time. And for me, I have doctor more recorders then I can remember on her. Even those we haven’t seem eye to eye on many things over the years, I now feel a close tie to her. I also believe that I maybe the only one who can help her. Over the past few months I have been treading the Captain for what I call “Temporal Sickness”. I believe this happen went a person “time travel” many time in a short period. I believe that the chorniton particles levels in her body are chronometric particles. These particles are emitted from a Borg sphere while forming a temporal vortex. It has been reported that the Borg use vortex for traveling thru time. But went ask by Rear Admiral Gregory what was wrong with Captain Nadire, I have told him that the Captain had chorniton radiation poisoning. Plus add in the fact that I used a ten year old medical recorder of another crew member who did have a chorniton poisoning from working on a Romulan cloaking device. I thought that this make be the Captain main health problem. But three weeks ago went I was doing a new blood work up on the Captain. I found something strange has happen within her blood stream. The Captain was assimilated some year back by the Borg. With a lot of work done by Doctor Karo, who was the Chief Medical Officer on the Nebuchadnezzar, her nanoprobes where cut off from any contact with the collective. Since then the nanoprobes have been their join repairing the Captain’s body. That was up to three week ago. The Captain carries about 16 billion nanoprobes working throughout her body. But with my test I found what looks to be a new type of nanoprobe and they were working separate from the old nanoprobes. I have not has time to do any research on these nanoprobes. But I do enclose a test slide of the nanoprobe.
