Aidan entered the lounge, thinking about getitng something to eat before going to his quarters. He stepped in and saw Cliff sitting there, with a drink, a smile and lost in thought.
He shakes his head, turning toward the replicator thinking about what he wanted to eat. He would greet Cliff but he was afraid the greeting would be followed by an insult or two. Seems the jr Lt hated him. He didn't know why and for the moment, he didn't care. He was hungry and wanted something to eat for the first time today.

He came out of his thoughts and spotted Aidan getting something to eat, he would smile and wave him over, he hoped he would join him Aidan was a nice guy and he can understand why he protective toward Anni.
As he sat their and it started coming to him he had insulted Aidan a few times in the back of his mind he heard him self say "A few times you insult him every chance you get" he looked down at the table

Reed seemed to come out of his thoughts as he got his milkshake and a couple of burritoes. He saw the jr officer wave him over but he ignored it. They weren't friends, just ship mates and barely on speaking terms. What Annie saw in the man, he didn't know but then he wasn't sure what Lizzy saw in him. They didn't exactly meet on the best of terms. The memory of his and Lizzy's first meeting brought a brief smile to his lips. He was sure Lizzy would never speak to him again, but in the long run, she became his wife and he has never been happier that he had met Lizzy.
He finds a table near a viewport and couldn't resist looking back toward Reed, hoping he hadn't gotten up to follow him. He didn't want to make it an order to return to his own seat. Course, he doubted the jr officer would listen to him anyways

He saw Aidan ignore him, he was going to get up and go talk to him, but he just sat their and looked back down at the table, and thought don't worry about it, but he started feeling like being back in the orphanage.
But instead of having to prove he was stronger he had to prove to Anni, Laura, Lizzy, Ian and even Aidan he loved loved Anni and he was trust worthy, thou the thought of giving up on winning Anni's love never entered his mind, He sat their thinking about Anni and never looked over at Aidan

Anni Walked into the lounge and takes a look around she spots Cliff at a table and Aidan at the view port and senses a lot of tension in the air between them. She walks over to Cliff and takes a seat "Hello Dear." she sat there and ordered some warm milk with nutmeg in it.

He looks up with a smile when hears Anni's voice "Hi Dear" he then sighs "You think you can get Aidan to come over?" he asks her "I want to apologies for the way I have treated him at times" he places a hand on Anni's hand
As he smiles looking in her eyes "Warm milk and nutmeg? that will help you sleep" he says on her order

"yes i cant sleep alot on my mind" She simply said
She looks over to Aidan"He thinks you hate him but i can go see if he'll come on over" She said as she got up and walkded over to Aidan. "Hey want to come on over and join me and Cliff at the table?
She sighs "Please i want to over there and CLiff doesnt hate you in fact he want to say sorry"

He had just finished a burrito and half his milkshake when Anni walked in. He smiled a bit, raising his arm to wave at her as she walked in and went to Cliff's table. A couple minutes before he entered the lounge, he heard some of the other crewmen mention the newly engaged Anni and Cliff, that he had popped the question to her and she had accepted. Things happen rather quickly on this ship, he thought to himself. Just the other day, it seemed she was turning him away and not welcoming his advances or attempts at courtship. He was surprised that Lizzy accepted him when he had asked her for a date, knowing how he botched the chance at a good first impression when they first met
He blinked as Anni appeared beside him, breaking into his thoughts, asking if he wanted to go over and join her and Cliff. Not really, since they are just newly engaged. Plus the fact that he really didn't feel like getting into a verbal battle with his future brother in law. He mentally shook his head: Future brother in law? This can't be happening
He heard her sigh and he frowned slightly, hating to see that look of.. irritation, pleading? He wasn't exactly sure but he hated that look. He wanted to see her smile more, but lately, her smiles were few, as were Lizzy's "I know Cliff doesn't hate me." he told her "..but I tire of his questioning and commenting on everything I say, like he doesn't believe I am a capable officer or able to take care of the ship in your and the captain's absense." Which he feels he isn't ready but it seems the captain does.. He shrugs "Well whatever, I believe I have the option to relieve him of duty the next time he questions me in the middle of a crisis or something."
He then stands and starts to grab the rest of his meal but stoppd, turned and took Anni in for a hug "Congrats on your engagement, sis. I heard about it on the way down her. I hope he makes you happy."
He then broke the hug, grabbed his other burrito and milkshake, then walked wth her back over to where cliff is sitting

She smiles a little"Yes that is a bit annoying, however he believes he is following protocals when he question your orders and in some ways he is right but he just needs to understand that once a decision is made it needs to be followed." She replied
She smiled as she returned the hug"Thanks. I still have some reservations about it and it is one thing on my mind lately. perhaps later you,me and Lizzy can get together so we can talk."She said to him
They walk back to the table and she takes her seat.

She walked into the lounge pushing te stroller with her twins in it and spots Cliff,Anni and Aidan at a table so she walks over "hello" She said as she took a seat

He watched Anni as she walked over to Aidan and thought about the year it took him to win Anni's heart, it was worth it he still be trying if he needed to.
When they came back and Anni set down he took her hand "Dear I will always be her if you need to talk about whats on your mind" he says in loving way
He then Looks at Aidan "I'm sorry I realized I have been questioning and commenting on everything you said and have at times insulted you and even made you look bad" he says
"It was never my attention to do that, I will work on not insulting, but if feel its needed I will question your call, but I will always do as you order, and I'll work on not making snide remarks on what you say" He adds

He turned back to Anni as he set his meal down "I know he is doing what he feels is right. I don't mind him questioning what I say when I don't make sense, not when I am trying to get out butts from being blown to kingdom come and back, or in any critical moment when I'm trying to keep us alive."
He then smiled at her "I'm pretty sure I drove you to madness when I questioned you alot, and most likely made you want to slap me sillier then what I already am. Course, I'd love to join you and Lizzy later for chat time. You're always welcome to our quarters. Although I wouldn't think too hard on it. Just go with the flow and let him make you happy like I try with Lizzy." He then ruffled her hair a little affectionately, for the fun of it
He turned to cliff, listening to what he had to say "For not intending to make me look bad, you sure did a good job of it." He told him, then waved it off "Whatever, man. I don't mind you questioning me when I dont make sense," He said, repeating what he said to Anni " but not on the bridge in the middle of a crisis and I especially dont need the snide comments like you know and could do better. I know what I am doing, at least I think i do. The Commodore wouldn't put me as Second Officer is she didn't think I knew what I was doing" At least that's what he thought.
He then smiled and turned toward the door as he heard the familiar, and beautiful, voice of his wife "Hello Imzadi." He greeted her with a hug and kiss then peeked in on his two princesses

He listened to Aidan then when he was done he smile at Lizzy after hearing her "Hi Lizzy" he looked back at Aidan "I will work on all we talked about, I wish I could change it over night but I know I'll have slip ups" he lovingly squeezs Anni's hand "And I think the Commodore made the right chocie putting you as SO" he adds

He made cooing sounds and made silly faces at his daughters as he listened to Cliff. After a couple moments, he straightened and faced Cliff again. Don't worry about what's already happened, just work on what you're going to do." He glanced at Anni, then back to Cliff "Which I hope includes making Anni the happiest woman in the galaxy, aside from Lizzy," At least he hoped Lizzy is pretty happy as he bent down to give lizzy another kiss before he sat back down

He looks at Aidan then to Anni with a smile "I plan on making Anni happy for the rest of our lives, And being their for her and Laura" he brushes Anni's cheek
He then looks over at the twins "They are quite beautiful" he says smiling at them
