It was known as "Ten Forward Lounge" for it was a lounge on deck ten near the front.

He was setting in a corner in the lounge, drinking a beer. He would look down into his beer, seeing Anni hurting and he could do nothing to take that pain away, that hurt him more than she knew.
He would take a drink and wonder in the Academy he was going to pick another ship then he had this feeling he belonged here on Triton and picked it.
When he came aboard and saw Anni he knew she was the one, the one he wants to spend his life with, Now he had to figure out how to tell Anni what he knows.
Anni let it slip to him but he could tell she had no idea she did that, He wanted to take her in his arm and hold her, let her know no one will ever hurt her again. He knew she wasn't ready for that and he didn't want to push her away.
Taking another Drink he thought is it me am in love with Anni that much that when I see Laura how she acts, at times the way she looks, but most of all the eyes and her smile Laura is Anni's.
He takes a big drink and slams the empty bottle down, The last mission why did the Commandant tell him to enter the room, he remembers everything that happened, he was married to Anni and he can't tell her because it violates Temporal Law.
He would chuckle a little why are you making it so hard he would ask the deities Imza and Tholta in his head, I'm letting you know now I will not give up I will win Anni's heart.
He would just sit in lounge lost in his thoughts.

He hears Anni's beautiful voice and turned to face her, he could see she wearing a pair of blue jeans and a pink blouse, he would smile at her "Yes Please join me" he motions for her to set down he realizes he was still looking at her

Anni took a seat "Thank You. how are you enjoying life on the triton so far?" She asked and she was well aware of him looking at her but chose to ignore it for now as she felt there is no malicious intent behind the stare.

She waved the waitress over "A Jestral Tea please and get my friend here another one of his drinks" Anni told the waitress

Looks at the waitress "Egg cream" he then places his hand on Anni's "That's good, I was worried about you" he says

She looked at Cliff for a moment as he placed his hand on hers "I know. I mess him you know." Anni said then seeing the look of confusion on his face she added "My Brother the only other person with whom I could tell anything."

He smiled when she said she missed her brother, he new how close they were "I know you miss him, and you are close" his voice got softer "I wont push you Anni, my hand is reached out to you, if you need a shoulder to cry on you can use mine" his eyes soften as he looks at her "Anni I promise you I'll never let you fall, I'll always be their for you" their was no pause no second guessing he meant every word he said.

Anni looked into his eyes and they show he is telling the truth and she can sense it but she also knew that even the best person can project those feelings and have a hidden agenda. "Why am I so afraid to trust this man? I mean I trust Ian but it is different with him because he practically raised her and so she knows his true intentions are that of care and love." She tries to think what Ian would say to her if he was here and she told him these feelings.

He smiles at Anni is she gets lost in her thoughts "I understand, I still got aways to go, to prove to you I love you and care about you" he replaces his hand on hers "I'm in this for the Long haul, Anni Knapp I well prove it to you, you can take that to the bank" he says

She walks into the Lounge rubbing her eyes. She was tired but unable to sleep any. She walks over to the bar and asked for a bottle of Romulan Ale she had kept back there. When the barkeeper handed it to her she took on long drink from it straight from the bottle. She looked around to see who else could not sleep and/or off duty and saw Clifford and Anni holding hands. She thought it was good that Anni was beginning to trust men again and knew to let them have time together before duty calls. She shook her head hearing her combadge go off, thinking for her duty all ways calls. Acknowledging she walks away from the bar taking another big drink from the bottle and walks on out heading back to the Bridge.

He sat in the lounge drinking an egg cream, is mind was filled with the last mission, being tortured didn't bother him, it was duty to protect Anni his mind quickly changed that to crew-mates
He took a drink and his mind replayed the dream he had while the Doc fixed him up, Him Cashing Anni her laughing, and Laura running and playing
Then a big smile crossed his face as he remembered the little boy, who looked like him but had Anni's eyes and nose, and when the boy called him daddy, he was the happiest man alive, He sat their lost in his thoughts
