DRoP anyone?

I was just curious whether or not there were any other Pern-heads on the board (or for that matter, LotR, HP, or any other series with an obsessive fan-base )

If you haven't read any of Anne McCaffrey's books, I highly, highly reccommend them. They are a wonderful blend of sci-fi and fantasy, medieval and modern. I discovered the Harper Hall trilogy in middle school, but unfortunately the school library didn't have any of Anne's other books from the series, and so it was forgotten until just this year, when I found one of her son's novels from the same series in the local library. Since then I've read:
