"Name covers it all." roars in laughter
OCC: no one is expected to know how use these and it is not expected that you do in our postings unless you are opting for more realism.

The Bat'leth I will discuss the bat'leth first since this is the melee weapon that almost everyone recognize as Klingon in origin. The Bat'leth is a bladed weapon consisting of 4 points, which is kept razor sharp. The story behind the forging of the first bat'leth begins with Kahless and his burning desire not to be under the tyrant Molors rule. Kahless went into the mountains, all the way to the Kri'stak Volcano. He cut off a lock of his hair and thrust it into the river of molten rock, which poured from the summit. The hair began to burn, but then he plunged it into the lake of Lusor and twisted it into a sword. He defeated the tyrant in a battle using the Sword of Honor which we call the bat'leth. It is a blade that is close to our hearts and spirit. And one that all Klingons train to use. Basic moves with the Batleth Defensive 1) High Block bring the batleth to your chest and strike up, locking both arms. This will block an incoming attack and also can be used offensively. 2) Vertical block take your batleth and move it vertically to your side where the incoming strike is coming. Offensive 1) Vertical Strike. This move strikes at a 45% angle. To do this hold your batleth bring it up level to your ear and then bring it down with force. This is used most often in hitting the collar bone or shoulder. 2) Uppercut This move has you holding our blade and bringing it out and up. Males need to watch this move for its mark, or lose greatly. This move normally follows a vertical strike. 3) One-Handed Slash Hold your blade with one hand swing it over your head brining it down and over to your opponent. This will extend your reach. These are only the most basic moves and can be applied to a variety of situations and by altering them slightly you can achieve a different move or effect. Remember warriors to always lock your elbows for better control.

dk'tagh Another well know Klingon blade weapon. Theres not much to say on the tactics since the same ones used in a knife fight apply here. You will notice on the sides of the central blade there are 2 smaller ones. To access this smaller ones thus opening the knife a small push button is on the handle. Think switch blade for a visual sense. These blades are kept razor sharp at all times since a dull blade or in this case 3 are useless to a Klingon. The more damage it can cause the better it is. On the handle the warriors name and house name is commonly placed but not necessary. What is important is one starts with it having earned honor, which simply put means first blood. The bearer of the blade draws first blood during a fight using it.
