He heard the TL has the doors opened and turned his head slightly then forward. SO it was true, the new first officer was a female. That would be new for him, and for anyone who would think her weak it would a mistake. She would have had to prove herself more then a male would. And to him, well it would be seen.

He looked her up and down for a brief second, making an assesment. Du'ralle grunted, then directly into her eyes. Taking her padd he scanned it. Having already read it, this was mostly for show and to gve her a few moments to consider things.
"What makes you the best choice for this ship? And know this I will give you no quarter or excuse for anything while your here. I will expect more based on you being a female you will need to prove more to me."

She narrowed her eyes just slightly as the HoD sized her up and down as if he were looking at a fresh kill. If he thought her an easy mark, she would have to show him how wrong that thought is."
"I am the best choice since I and High Command deem it so." and the only choice, she presumed. She then smiled a little predatorily "You make it sound I am not up to the challenge, HoD. I would not be here if I did not want to prove to you and others that I am."

He grunted, then wiped his mouth with his hand.
"Are you up to it? How do I know that? Only your actions and abilities will attest to that one way or the other. I will not tolerate less your best at any time. This beq', this vessel, and I deserve no less. Know this, if you fail me it will cost you greatly. Betray me and there will be no place you run to that I will not find you."

She stood there and listened to her new HoD. When he finished, She gave a grunt as well "My best is given at all times. That should inform you how truthful I am in this matter. I can swear to Kah'ess for you but your eyes will attest to the truth of my words. I give you my word as a Klingon, I have no thoughts of betrayal or failure tou you, this ship or the beq that serve aboard. Any failure would be my death."

He nodded at her last statement. To let her know that failure or betrayal would be her death.
"Very well. What do you wait on, have you no work to do? There is a new qel, her name is Del'Kara. Go and meet with her. Then return to the meH."
OOC: It is customary for the XO to review new members of the crew or beq'. The reference for this is when Riker was assigned to a Klingon ship for as an officer exchange.

She grunted as the HoD accepted her answer and "welcomed" her aboard by informing her the Qel has just arrived and needed to be greeted and reviewed
"Reporting in to announce my new assignment was higher on my list of things to do. Now I shall do as you command and meet with the new Qel." She gave him another salute, turned and made her way to and into the TL. She tapped her communications badge to contact this Del Kara "Commander T'Var to Qel Del Kara, what is your location so I can meet with you?"

She looked a bit amused as the doctor growled that she's in sickbay. "Maj. I am on my way." She informed the Qel
A couple moments later, she stepped off the TL, walking down the hall that led into sickbay. She entered, looking around. She spotted the Qel. Walking over, She would give the Qel a critical eye, sizing the other be' up. Would the Qel make a good warrior for the ship?

After walking around the ship to make sure all were safe and fully securied she steps back onto the Bridge and stepped over to the Tactical checking the area of space for trouble. She then looks up and reports in. "The ship is fully securied HoD. He is ready for the glorious battles that awaits us."

As she entered Engineering her mood was soured by the inactivity of the ship and, many of his crew. They called themselves warriors yet, all she had seen from those outside Engineering were words. Her Crew had repaired the Ship and, several of its systems, now running better than when he left Space dock, they had worked doulbe shifts in Smoke, and other hazardous gases, while others seemed slow at best.She surveyed main engineering as she stood on the second level of engineering, a smile crossed her face. Yes indeed the Engineers and Technicians had earned a their place today. As a Tech came up to her the smile faded replaced by a stern look. "Your team did alright today but I need to see improvement. Prepare them for some drills."

Still in a sour mood which showedin her face not in her workshewas making the climb by ladder up through the decks performing her daily inspection tour. she found the activity of climbing the ladders relaxing .
