Counselor's Log, Azuma Kestra logging

It has become apparent that something is bothering Lt Anni Knapp. It has began to sour her moods and I have noticed that she tries to prevent herself from breaking down. Also, it has came to my attention that Lt Commander Lizzy Knapp is concerned for her younger sister and she too is exhibiting signs that something is bothering her. Lizzy's bond-mate is worried for both women as is Anni's potential suitor, Mr. Cliff Reed. Both Sisters claim there is nothing wrong when clearly there is. I fear this may affect their perfomance of their duties, so I have asked the captain to set up an appointment for the both of them and try to get them to open up and share with me what is troubling them so.

The Captain is also beginning to show signs of mental stress. A message from the President of the Federation has fouled her mood, and made her short tempered with members of the Bridge crew, including myself. I wonder what message the President had for the Captain that she couldn't include the crew, which the Captain had attempted to do, but the President was adamant against it. When the Captain returned from the private meeting, her mood had soured and she became short-tempered. When I attempted to engage her in conversation, she blocked my attempts and effectively told me to mind my own business. As Counselor of the Triton, my business is to the crew's mental health. The only clue that has surfaced is that we are now en route to the Romulan Neutral Zone. What shall we find there? Who shall we meet?

More importantly, Will I be able to help Anni open up and share with me what is on her mind.

Anni walks to the office door and rings the chime and waits or her to answer

Azuma looks over to the door, from the viewscreen she is looking at, reading the personnel file of Anni Knapp. She sensed the aforementioned woman on the other side of the door. "Come in!" She called out, loud enough for Anni to hear her

Anni walked into the office wearing a pair of blue jeans pants and a pink blouse"Good evening Counselor i was wondering if you've got time to talk?" Anni said as she looked around the office

She smiled at Anni as she walked in, wearing a pair of jeans and a pink blouse. Azuma oberved as Anni looked around her office, a few paintings of Betazed, the Janaran Falls, Lake Cataria and the Valley of Song were hung on the wall. A couple notable Betazoid citizens were also on the wall: Deanna Troi, Tam Elbrun, Reittan Grax "Of course, Anni. That is why I am here. To talk, especially if something is troubling you. Would you like anything to drink before we start?"

Anni looked at the paintings and her eyes stayed at one she particularly liked "that is a very beautiful painting of the Janaran Falls you have there" she said before turning to the counselor and said "Jestal Tea please."

Azuma got up to move toward the replicator in her office, observing Anni as she looked at the portraits on the wall. With Anni also being a Betazoid, Azuma knew Anni would appreciate them more then a non-Betazoid would. She noted that she stayed with one more then the others. She smiled at that, and Anni "Thank you. It is also one of my favorites as well. I find myself mentally drifting back to that beautifully serene place more times than I can count." She turned to the replicator "Two Jestral teas, please." Azuma came back over with one tea, offering it to Anni "How can I help you today?" She asked of the other woman

She took the Tea "Thank you. It is one of my favorite places as well and one that holds so many wonderful memories for me" She said

"I need someone to talk too." she paused there for a minute then continued "I have finding myself having trouble sleeping. i keep thinking about my brother" she said as she took a sip of the Jestral tea her thoughts a mess and Azuma would keep seeing images but she could also tell that Anni is trying to hide said images

Azuma took a sip of her own tea, listening to Anni "I am certain the Falls hold many wonderful memories, not just for you and I but for many Betazoid citizens, both past and present."

Azuma then noted the change in mood and topic when Anni stated she needed someone to talk to. Azuma nodded, waiting for Anni to continue. Anni spoke of her trouble sleeping and her constant thoughts of her brother. Anni's thoughts were quite erratic but she could pick up a few images that called to her "It seems your worries about your brother are keeping you awake at night and I've noticed that it is beginning to affect your duty performance. I presume that you and Lizzy have a strong bond with him and would feel if something mortally bad would happen to him?"

Anni looked at Azuma she was tired"Yes we are very close. I dont think he is mortally wounded, but your right I have been thinking about him more lately." She said

She debates weather or not to tell him about the time in her quarters when she lost it....she decides she better"I heard Ian the other day in my quarters. I know it sounds crazy but I know i heard him" She said
