::Al chuckled and sat back in his chair scratching his spines thoughtfully.:: There have been a couple of women in Starfleet that I would have married....if things hadn't gone sour. But I suppose it is what it is. I'm happy for you Aidan.::Smiling.::

He nods, listening to Al "Guess it wasn't meant to be. I'm sure you'll find someone soon, big guy." He smiles "Thanks" he said when Al said he was happy for him

::Al laughed.::Actually I've given up for now..although, there is one I've had my eye on for a very very long time. Never had the oppurtunity or the bravery to approach her though.::chuckles again::

He blinked at the Security Chief "Gave up?! I don't picture you giving up on anything or being afraid, especially on asking a lovely lady out" He paused a moment "Speaking of lovely ladies, I'd like to spend more time with mine. She spendin' quite a bit of time down there in sickbay and trying to keep her brother from losing his marbles. I imagine she's pretty beat and needs to relax a bit"

::Al looked up and frowned.:: Yes..given up. Women are a weakness of mine friend..always have been. But the one I've been speaking about, I've been praying for something to happen for years...although I feel kind of bad about out. Anyway...::He shrugged a little and scratched near his spines.:: Ian wasn't always this way, he's a good man. A good officer. He's done a lot for the greater good.

He chuckled a bit as Al told him that women were a weakness to him, always has been "I know what you mean there, my scaly friend. I'm not that good around women either, especially a beautiful woman" Speaking of beautiful women, he glanced toward the one that was sitting by him and Al: Captain Tsalarek. He then turned back to Al "Course, I think women throughout the ages have been a weakness for men, no matter what position they're in"
He then shook his head "I don't think just praying is going to help you win her heart. If you want her, go get her, go tell her how you feel. How is she going to know if you don't tell her?" He noticed that Al kept scratching near his spines. He either thought that was one hell of an itchy spot or it was a nervous habit of his. He gave a nod "Yeah, from what I know of Ian, he's a pretty good guy, when he's not losing his marbles. He needs to stop traveling through time or whatever he's doing. Plus it's not helping Lizzy any. She needs to rest a bit, have a little off time, maybe let Nat help Ian out a little bit, she seems to know him quite well"

::Nodding he chuckled once more.:: Oh yes..Women have always made men weaker at the knees ahem..::He then cleared his throat and cracked his neck.:: I would have told her a long time ago, but certain circumstances arose that made my plan...come to a halt. She is fairly beautiful, and we have more in common then she realizes.
::He smiled and pulled a canteen out of his sleeve.:: Ian...is searching for something. I'm not entirely sure what, but I believe it may all be for the best in the end...just as long as he doesn't kill himself.

Tasa entered the lounge, looking slightly the worse for wear. She'd just learned of the arrest of her captain, and she was truly shaken. She'd left Liam with Alex and come to the lounge for a chance to sit and think, where she wouldn't be bothered by crewmembers asking her for advice: she didn't have any answers for them right now.
She found a seat at an empty section of bar and ordered a glass of water- she'd steered clear of the hard drinks since that had gotten her in trouble last time, though she wouldn't trade Liam for the world. Sipping the water, she didn't notice the group conversing farther down the bar, or she might not have stayed. She had enough to dwell on without adding to the confused mess that was her emotional state.

::Al looked on down the bar past Aidan and TSalarek,he frowned slightly at the sight of her. Judging from the way she looked..and the fluctuations of heat through her body, he could judge that Artasa was having a bad week. He sighed. He'd approach her,but he would only fear that would make her week worse considering the negative feeling he knew she had toward him. He just shrugged and took another swig from his canteen.::

She just couldn't understand how otherwise intelligent beings could be so incredibly stupid. The only thing Saavpek had against her was something she could no more help than Tasa could help her green skin. So she was Romulan, so what? She chose to be a member of Starfleet, and her every action as far as Tasa had seen had been for the good of the whole.
She tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear and sighed. And now we're expected to be her jailers until we get to some backwater outpost on the edge of the Neutral Zone... She looked around her, taking in the lounge, the people, the atmosphere for what might well be the last time in a long, long time. It was then that she finally noticed them, and she sucked a breath in through her teeth.
Just my luck he'd be here... she thought, her shoulders slumping. "Do You hate me this much today?" she muttered under her breath, her eyes looking upwards. "What do You want me to do, hmm? Talk to him? I'm not sure how civil I can be right now, You know... And it's not like that solves my current problem..."

::Al Turned to his Plate of steak and green vegetables. He took a couple of bites and smiled, all the while slightly laughing and looking casual. Al knew a lot of things, and it didn't take ninety years of experience to know when someone was watching him or when he wasn't wanted somewhere. Aidan was of the good sort, just misplaced in this time frame..which he was adapting to very quickly. And TSal, she was like Al..They didn't make them like him and her anymore. There were truly very few people like them in starfleet. Warrior poets.::

She sat there, undecided, and looked from him to the door. I should go say hello... at least to be polite. I'm not so low as to hold a grudge, even for that... She drained her water and pulled the lemon wedge off the rim, spreading it to separate the sections. But it would be so easy to just walk out that door like I hadn't seen him, go back and spend the rest of the evening with Liam and Alex... I still have to teach Liam how to sign 'Daddy', Alex might like that...
But her conscience was prodding her, and she knew she had no good reason not to at least say hello. She popped the thin lemon wedge into her mouth, peel and all, and chewed, stalling for time to gather her courage. Or what was left of it.
Slowly she got to her feet and walked over to the group. Twice she almost turned for the door, but she made herself keep going, her heart thudding heavily in her chest. What's so scary about him, huh? I mean, apart from his appearance. You were never afraid of him before. Why is it so hard to just walk up to him and say...
"Hello," she said, adressing it to each of those in the group. "How is everyone today?" She managed a smile, though it didn't quite reach her eyes. They were too full of worry for Saavpek, too full of nervousness from her proximity to Al for the first time in... how long? At least she'd broken herself of that nervous habit of playing with her braid... Not that he'd notice that...

::It was clear that she was indeed nervous, and there was a pause for Al revealing he was very shocked....Odd..she isn't playing with her braid. He canted his head and then quickly put on a smile.:: Hello Artasa...I'm fine, and yourself?
Why was she talking to him..?::It had been so long without a word or even a notice of what was going on. But he gave her the space she needed out of the love and respect he held for her.::

Before he can answer Al, he seen him glance over his shoulder toward the door. He followed where Al was looking and he see an attractive looking green woman walk in. His brow raised in curiosity
Even though he had never seen her before, he could tell she was looking like she was having a bad week, she looked a bit worried and looking like she needed a bit of rest.. like Lizzy
After a few moments, she seemed to notice him and the group, particularly Al. From her drooping shoulders, she didn't seem to happy to see him
He glanced at Al, who didn't seem to enthused about her either, or rather he wasn't too worried about her appearance
He shrugged his shoulders and drank some more of his water
He looked back over to her and seen that she decided to come over and say hello. He smiled at the young woman "Hi there, ma'am" He said as a greeting back to her "I'm doing pretty good and yourself?"
He glanced at Al as he greeted her. Was it his imagination or did he seem a little nervous around her?

"I'm surprised you haven't heard," she said, shifting her weight to the other foot. "I've overheard enough people talking about it even before we got official word. Saavpek's been arrested and stripped of her rank. We're all pretty concerned... shell-shocked, I guess is the right word. Once word started getting down to the rest of the crew, I had so many people coming to me, asking what was going to happen, and I just don't know myself..." She stopped herself there: she was rambling, and if she didn't stop now, soon she'd be crying. She didn't want that, not in so public a place. And certainly not with him here.
