::Jon polishes off the scotch set before him and immediately orders another, this time he makes it a double. He glances around the lounge and notices it is filling up quickly. He decides he will stay a little longer, things might get interesting. He picks up the drink that was placed in front of him and takes a sip.::

"Ah yes..Romulan ale...personal stash?" He asked kindly, he was so used to interrogating his own officers to make sure they weren't carrying contraband."I hope it isn't contraband." He winked.

Walking into the Lounge, Doc Gunn was looking for a drink and a few hours free time. The last few months on the Nezz has been anything but slow. Gunn walks to the bar.
I will have a whiskey of the rocks..... and give me a glass of water on the side.
As max waits for his drink, he looks about the lounge and see it pretty fill with Starfleet personal.

Getting his drink....Max now sits back and sips it slowly. he has only one though on his mine right now...that is Steph and their unborn baby. As he think about it more a small smiles come to his lips. Just the thought of this baby and his love for Steph has taken him to a new and speical place in life now. He has all ready had the spare bedroom in his quarter turn into the nursey. Steph something thinks he going a little overboard about this, but he think he is doing way to little.
As he takes another sips, his commbadge goes off. It a message from one of the duty nurses. As Max starts to speak to her, he finds out that he has some incoming message that he will need to take now. He tell nurse to sent them to his PADD and he will wait to get them.
Within a minute....he gets the first of several private messages from a good friend in Starfleet. he starts to read the first one. it is a medical report.
<W> this is a starts....
Max reads down and see there are parts of seveal medical reports on this person. He now closes his PADD and order another drink

Maybe it was rare for an Admiral to wander into just any old lounge (at least she ducked under the bar) but then, FawThawly was not your average Admiral. As an El-Aurian, she had seem more than her fair share of the universe, as an ex-member of Temporal Investigations, she spent more time in the Universe than most. Right now though, she was looking for something to drink.
To the bar she wandered, red hair pulled loosely into a long ponytail down her back as 'Penny" her African Grey Parrot clung to her shoulder. " Surprise me" was the answer to the question the keep never needed to ask.. We would see if he could.

Artasa entered the lounge and found a seat at the bar. "I'll have a blue motorcycle," she said to the keep, then turned around to survey the other faces in the room. She noticed the Admiral seated not far from her and gave her a smile. "That's a beautiful bird you have there, Ma'am," she said, her dazzling teeth set in stark contrast to her deep-green skin.

Penny had crawled down her arm to the table at this point, amusing herself with the peanuts the admiral shelled for her. Soon enough the Parrot was deeply involved in gorging herself on this new "delicacy" that had been offered to her, one peanut at a time. That was something FawThawly always loved about her birds, their simple joy in taking things one day at a time.. except when they wanted attention.
A nod then to Artasa at the compliment to the occupied African Grey. "thankyou... I am sure Penny would appreciate the sentiment if she understood it." Of course, the bird just looked at her caretaker, sometimes non-avians said the strangest things.

"I used to have a Nanday myself," Artasa said before taking a sip of her drink. "My father thought it would be cute to get me a green bird... I named him Liir, and he was the funniest thing. He didn't like anyone but me, and he'd sit on his perch and blow kisses at me all day long if I let him." She laughed at the memory of how the conure would even move one of his feet as though blowing a kiss.

That image brought a chuckle to the Admiral's subtly painted lips. "He was just telling you that he loved you." With that, her eyes drifted down the Grey and the peanuts, her appetite fulfilled, She was beginning to play with the husks, picking them up and throwing down onto the floor, only to tilt her head to see where they landed.
"You are being a bad girl, Penny." The admonishment was lost on the bird as FawThawly tapped lightly on the parrot's beak, in her eyes this was turning into a game. "What am I going to do with you?"

Artasa smiled again as she watched the bird. "She wants to play fetch," she suggested with a laugh. "Don't you know, you're supposed to pick the husks up so she can throw them again." She finished her drink and ordered another, figuring it would be her last for the evening.

A laugh at that as the feathers that surrounded Penny's head fluffed and her head sprang upwards as her beak was lightly tapped. Soon the usually serious Grey would be bobbing her head like a parakeet as she got excited from this brief playtime.
"I wonder who trains who." She continued to tap against the parrot's beak as playtime went on. "sometimes I think I am the one who is trained..." FawThawly contined her laugh into a light giggle as she continued to amuse Penny.

"I wouldn't doubt it for a moment," Artasa said, grinning. "Such is life for the owner of an intelligent pet. We think we're teaching them good manners and cute tricks, but they're the ones teaching us how to read them and give them what they want."
