"Alright, I'll remember that. We can take care of that later.." Getting the feeling Kia wanted to drop that particular venue of conversation, he would glance back around the lounge. After a moment, "I should be going now anyways.. I have a meeting with an Admiral. You know how those can be." Standing up, he would extend his hand towards Kia for a handshake. "Try to take care of yourself while I'm not around, alright?" He winked at her.

"See you later then, I suppose," Tasa said to Matt, peering around Al at him. She nodded at Kia, then returned her attention to the Gorn beside her, giving his arm a gentle squeeze.

Al finally looked over to kia,he was lost in his own thoughts."He or she is taken several miles outside of the city in the nearby wilderness blind folded. If the child returns alive he or she is forgiven. If the child did not learn his or her lesson the first time he or she is snuffed from existence....but those are the most severe punishments." He looked over to artasa. "I merely have a lot on my mind...The ship and all."

"No." he barked,he then took a large gulp from his drink. "We are sharing command. I only want to see the Lexington prosper...and I know it can under my leadership." he said sadly.

She sighed, laying her head on his shoulder. "I hope they choose you," she said, giving his arm a squeeze. "I know the Lexington would be in good hands then."

She had nodded to Matt's leaving, resuming staring at the glass until Al had spoken.
"I don't think that would work with this one.. but thank you for the input. I believe I am going to go..."
With that, she stood quietly, exitting the Lounge.

-Ace entered the lounge, dressed in his duty uniform as always. He gave a brief glance around the room, not knowing anyone who was there. He proceded to take a seat up at the bar.- Just an ice water, please. -He said to the bartender. After the water was placed in front of him, he began to sip it, leaning back on the stool, relaxing.-

::She had fallen asleep at the table and woke cramped from head to toe. She decided to use the walk to the bar to stretch out a bit. As she walked she overheard Al::
You know, Al ::as she sits:: both you and Tai'ts have qualities that would make either you a fine CO. ::nods hello to Avery::
::She orders another ale and a second for the big Gorn::
But you also each have a major fault. One that is, oddly enough, balanced by the other person.

Tai'ts tends to overthink - almost to the point of paralyisis.
He's good, don't misunderstand, but he needs work still. ::fixes the gorn with a sharp look:: and so do you.

::Al's eyes went big and he nodded.:: Most captains are...I believe there was a certain Federation captain who shot first and asked questions later long ago. Anywho, we all have room to grow.
