She laughed. "I think the original saying was 'An elephant never for-'..." she paused, looking at him with a grin that lit her whole face. "I just thought of the perfect sign for you," she said.
She made her hands into fists and raised them so that her arms crossed in front of her, right in front of left. She put her hands out- palms together, rotated so that the right was on top of the left- and moved her hands apart about a foot, then brought them back together, fingers lightly laced like teeth. "'Security alligator'. It's perfect! And Liam will love to use it, it's a big, easy sign." She was all but dancing at how perfect it was, even incorporating his name... well, sort of...

::Normally,something like that may have upset him. But she was adorable when she did it, and he was sure the child would be adorable when he did it as well.:: I uh..see.::He chuckled and did the sign himself.:: I guesss that is what I am then. It's been a long time since I have ever seen you smile. It's a good change. Whats the sign for beautiful green doctor lady? ::he teased.::

He listened as the green lady and Al spoke of Saavpek being jailed just for being a romulan. He ppondered a moment, thinking he had met her once or twice and he thought she was petty nice, considering what he heard and saw of Romulans. Course, where he's from, Romulans were a bit fictional. Now, they seem to be fact. He remembered something that his great uncle told him way back Science Fiction can someday became science fact. He nodded in agreement to that, remembereding that he told him that he read science fiction book, when he was a kid, about nuclear bombs. It wasn't loook after that, maybe 5-6 years he guessed, that they developed the first Atomic bomb
He focused his mind back on the discussion and shook his head "I see in this time they still discriminate against someone just cause of race or color of your skin" he commented, whether they would hear him or not, he wasn't sure
He continued to listen their dicussion turning into much friendlier tones and he arched a brow then they started flirting with each other and he began feeling like a third wheel 'Three's a crowd' he always learned
He politely excused himself and went to a viewport to look out at the stars

"That one's easy," she said, grinning. She put her right thumb to her chin, fingers outstretched. "'Mommy'! I did teach him how to say 'Doctor' though, when he met Doctor Ivery. He picks them up so quickly. I've only been working with him on it for a few months and already he's learned over fifty signs. He's very smart..." Like his father...

::Al nodded in admiration.:: Your son does sound very smart...I can't wait until he grows up to make you very proud. ::He taped her on the shoulder and then said.:: Maybe he'll be in security? Maybe I'll be teaching a class one day that he's in, that is if he wants to join starfleet.::Clears his throat.:: Though I wouldn't recommend a career in my field, it's too shaky. ::this actually made Al extremely happy, they seemed so natural. He was always that way when he was with Artasa...only one other person could ever make him feel this way...I doubt she'll ever know though...::

"Maybe someday," she said with a smile. "I know that no matter what field he wants to go into, in Starfleet or out, I'll support him in his decision, just like my father did for me. And if he does go into Security, he couldn't have a better teacher than you."
Her smile faded slightly as she glanced at the door. "I should probably get going though. I need to relieve Alex of babysitting duty and put Liam to bed, and I'm sure I'll have a steady stream of patients coming through my office as soon as I get back..." She looked back up at him. "It was nice talking to you again."

::He frowned slightly as well, and a heavy burden fell back onto his shoulders.:: Oh, right. I'm sorry..::He looked down into her eyes and nodded.:: It was and always has been, my pleasure speaking to you Miss Avery. I hope it isn't long until we share words once more.

"As do I," she said, wondering why he'd called her "Miss Avery". For that matter, why hadn't he called her "Tasa"? But she had no time to dally: she needed to put Liam down. She left the lounge, her mind just as ill-at-ease as it had been when she'd entered.

::He watched her walk off again, he hoped that he had done some good and wondered if that was really the last time he would speak to her, or if it would be forever until the next meeting between the two.He sat back down and turned to the silent TSalarek.I wonder...::

As he was looking out at the stars, he chest beeped and he glanced down to the gold brooch that was fixed to his uniform. He tapped it, remembering that sound was made when someone was trying to contact him
He tapped it to answer it. He was happy to hear it was his fiance, Lizzy Knapp, The Vigilant's beautiful Doctor. They spoke briefly then she gave him some very surprising news "What!!?? Are you sure, babe?" He was heard saying as he looked back to Captain T'Salarek, with a very surprised look on his face. Lizzy confirmed the results and he smiled, thinking at least he knows he is not alone in this time, family wise
He ended the call and he walked over to the Captain and couldn't help it but he gave her a hug. She tensed and he broke the hug to look into her surprised face. He chuckled "Sorry, Captain but I just found out from Lizzy that I am your great x8 grandfather. I know that surprised me too when she told me"

::Al's jaw dropped and kept his thoughts to himself for a moment, he then closed his mouth and smiled. He patted Aidan and TS on the arm and said.:: Congratulations...::Guess I better watch what I think and say now...::

::woolgathering through most of the preceeding, Aidan's pronouncement snapped her attention back to the present:: You're my what?!?! ::as gaping is un-cappy-like, she could only sit stunned while the news sank in::
It seems as I may need to have a word or three with our esteemed Doctor Lizzy ::as she nodded absently in acknoweldgement of Al's congratulations::
::she tries to think of something convincing for a get-away as a sudden chirrup sounds:: "Duty calls" ::as she darts into the corridor without even answering the hail::

::A young Cadet hits the wall to dodge the Captain that is darting out of the room, after a second he looks down after the Captain running down the corridor then looks into the room and walks in without actually looking where he is walking. He then turns his attention to the room and looks around at the people in the room. :: Hi, I'm Cadet Greene, recently assigned to the Concorde. ::Josh then walks over to a replicator orders a cup of coffee and takes a seat in a sparsely populated section in the room sipping on his coffee::

He watched his Captain, and grand daughter, 8 times removed get up and leave the lounge like she had been shot in the seat end, nearly running over a someone that was coming in
He just blinked "Guess I scared her off. The news was too much of a shock" he told the equally shocked Al
He shook his head and turned to the new guy that came in "Hey. welcome to the concorde. I'm sure you'll meet a friend of mine when you check in"
